Title: National Student’s ICT Conference 2009
Date: 2nd December 2009, (Wednesday) Venue: Kathmandu Engineering College (KEC), Kalimati, Kathmandu, Nepal Time: 9:00 A.M (Onwards)

INTRODUCTION:
Our organization Information Technology Society, Nepal is organizing the conference with the objective of providing a creative and productive platform for the students and youth professional in the field of Information Technology. We at IT-S, Nepal feel that students and youth professionals in the field of Information Technology form a large part of the information society. But, they lack enough exposure and experience to cope with the challenges as well as to grasp the vistas of opportunities with which they will be welcomed when they enter the professional IT realm. With the motive of empowering such new generation IT-S, Nepal has been organizing various programs since its commitment of IT-S Nepal towards its objective. The program is going to be held on 2nd December 2009, (Wednesday) at Kalimati, Kathmandu, Nepal. The participants of the program will be IT students and youth professional from more than 32 Engineering & IT related Colleges, faculties from different Universities, IT professionals and other interested members of society.

OBJECTIVES: Information Technology Society (ITS) ,Nepal is organizing this conference for the primary objective of spreading awareness about Information Technology to the new generation as well as enabling them to identify their role in this sector. The new generations here implies to all those who constitute a large part of information society and are at the verge of convergence to professionals. The new generation may include IT students as well as Youth IT professional. The basic objectives of this conference can be enumerated as follows:

  • To provide platform to the new generation (Student and Youth Professional) to demonstrate and share their knowledge gained during their academic sessions and make their mark in IT arena.
  • To empower the new generation who are in one way or another associated to the field of ICT.
  • To encourage the participation of the new generation in creating innovative IT culture.
  • To acclimate the new generation to the demands and challenges of professional IT sector.
  • To kindle the interest of the new generation in creation of productive information society.
  • To communicate the talent of the new generation IT students to the society at large.
  • To act as a central platform for the Student related to ICT to meet and strengthen regional cooperation.
  • To exchange and share Knowledge that increase values.

 

ORGANIZER OF THE PROGRAM:

Information Technology Society, (IT-S, Nepal) is a forum for all IT related professional, youth entrepreneur  and  students which is a non profitable and non-political organization established by various keen students studying in different IT colleges and institutions with main objective of awareness of IT to novice, supporting IT-related sectors. The forum targets at the development of IT Sectors, by making active participation in all those IT events. It aims at providing its members with an environment where their skill, expertise and professionalism can groom and mature so that they can be in better position. The primary objective of IT-S is to bring together the students and Youth professional of the country under a single umbrella and become their united voice and slogan as well. IT-S Nepal has been conducting different programs from its inception throughout Nepal. The major programs includes Free Computer Training (Helping Hand Scheme I-X), National Level IT-Conferences on "Creating Information Based Society: The Role of New Generation", Publishing of Monthly National IT-Magazine "ITS Panorama", regional level IT Seminars, Different Surveys in Kathmandu and Outside, Publication of IT Directory, different talk programs and seminars, IT Road Show Program etc.

 

SPEAKERS:
The IT Students and youth professionals will be the speakers of the conference. Important addresses from professionals and IT expert relating to conference theme. Speaker will be selected from students of inland national colleges. Abstract can be sent by IT Student and youth professionals.

THE DELEGATES:

The event will expect to receive 250 national delegates and guests. They are mainly Students, youth Professionals, Professionals and Interested Person from Society.
More then 100 Nepali delegates from throughout the nation.

SUBMITTALS:

Key Dates are:
            - Submission of abstract: 20th November 2009
            - Notice of selection: 24th November 2009
            - Submission of Final Version of Abstract: 27th November 2009

  • Send abstract within given date via email (conference@itsn.org.np).
  • Approved letter from your college.
  • Fill your details in given application form (Selected abstract sender can get complimentary registration.)
  • Selected paper presenter will get letter of appreciation of conference.

DELEGATES AND PARTICIPATNS:
     Key Dates are:
                        -Submission of complete filled form with payment: 27th November 2009
                        - The form are received as per First come first serve basis

  • Send your complete filled form.
    (Payment can be sent with through IT-S College Representatives or Members & Executives in your colleges.)

            PARTICIPATION FEES:

  • IT-S Members: NRs. 75.00 (Required IT-S Member Card’s Photocopy)
  • Others participants: NRs. 100.00
                            The conference package includes an admission to the main conference, conference kit & also covers refreshments during the conference day.
